Heart Hunter

Heart Hunter is an 8-bit, top-down, rouge-like combat game where you fight mobs and harvest their hearts! Each time you get attacked or try to shoot, you lose one of your heart.

Different enemies drop different hearts with special effects (or not). The effect is triggered when hearts are shot or hit the target. 

Wisely manage your hearts because they are your ammo, health bar, and also your inventory!

Characters

I don't have a story for this game (yet), but I can tell you about the mobs!

	Lancer	fun fact: the pronunciation of "lancer" resembles that of "blue"  in Chinese!	drops
	Librarian	He spends too much time in between the bookshelves. Now he can only walk horizontally. FYI, it's contagious.	drops
	Spiger	A spider with a pig's nose on its head. Well, here's another linguistic fact: half of the Chinese word for "spider" is pronounced exactly the same as that of "pig".	drops
	Citrus Liluton	A flying orange with creepy eye. Oh, just so you know, the two black lines on its forehead are not eyes. Librarian helped drew that for her with a marker.	drops
	Pokob	Walking beaker with mysterious red liquid in it. Kind of makes you wonder, huh? Is it paint or ketchup or blood?	drops

Controls

• Move: press W, A, S, D to move around
• Shoot: left-click to shoot your rightmost heart
• Punch: right-click to punch, short-ranged and not very effective, but the knock-back sure can help
• Select bullet: press Q/E to select a heart to shoot (the selected heart will look slightly larger)

  
  

  • press Ctrl/Command + Q/E to quickly select the first or the last one of your hearts
  • scroll your mouse wheel to quickly select a heart you want

Language

Heart Hunter now only supports English and Chinese. English is the default. If you want to switch languages, press Ctrl/Command + L.
